بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍۙ
Wailul(n) likulli humazatil(n) lumazat(in)
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter;
ۨالَّذِيْ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗۙ
Al-ladzii jama'a maaalau(n) wa'addadah(u)
who amasses wealth and counts it over and again.
يَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗٓ اَخْلَدَهٗۚ
Yahsabu anna maalahu akhladah(u)
He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever.
كَلَّا لَيُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِى الْحُطَمَةِۖ
Kalaa layunbadzanna fiil huthamat(i)
Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher.
وَمَآ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ۗ
Wamaa adraaka maal huthamat(u)
And what do you know what the Crusher is?
الَّتِيْ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْاَفْـِٕدَةِۗ
Allatii tath-thali'u 'alal af-idat(i)
the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals).
اِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌۙ
Innahaa 'alaihim mu'shadat(un)
Verily it will close in upon them,
