بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ اَبِيْ لَهَبٍ وَّتَبَّۗ
Tabbat yadaa abii lahabiu-watabb(a)
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed.
مَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُ مَالُهٗ وَمَا كَسَبَۗ
Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wamaa kasab(a)
His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions.
سَيَصْلٰى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۙ
Sayashla naaran dzaata lahabiu(n)
Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire
وَّامْرَاَتُهٗ ۗحَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِۚ
Waamra-atuhu hammaalatal hathab(i)
along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales;
فِيْ جِيْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ ࣖ
Fii jiidihaa hablum(n) mim(n) masad(in)
upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre.
