Surah Az-Zalzalah: Arabic, Transliteration & Translation

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

1. 99:1

   اِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْاَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَاۙ

   Idzaa zulzilatil ardhu zilzaalahaa

   When the earth will be shaken with a mighty shaking,

2. 99:2

   وَاَخْرَجَتِ الْاَرْضُ اَثْقَالَهَاۙ

   Wa-akhrajatil ardhu atsqaalahaa

   and the earth will throw up all her burdens,

3. 99:3

   وَقَالَ الْاِنْسَانُ مَا لَهَاۚ

   Waqaala-insaanu maa lahaa

   and man will cry out: “What is the matter with her?”

4. 99:4

   يَوْمَىِٕذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخْبَارَهَاۙ

   Yauma-idzin tuhadditsu akhbaarahaa

   On that Day it will relate all her news,

5. 99:5

   بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوْحٰى لَهَاۗ

   Bianna rabbaka auha lahaa

   for your Lord will have commanded her (to do so).

6. 99:6

   يَوْمَىِٕذٍ يَّصْدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشْتَاتًا ەۙ لِّيُرَوْا اَعْمَالَهُمْۗ

   Yauma-idzin yashdurunnaasu asytaatan liyurau a'maalahum

   On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds.

7. 99:7

   فَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَّرَهٗۚ

   Faman ya'mal mitsqaala dzarratin khairai(n) yarah(u)

   So, whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it;

8. 99:8

   وَمَنْ يَّعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗ ࣖ

   Waman ya'mal mitsqaala dzarratin syarrai(n) yarah(u)

   and whoever does an atom's weight of evil shall see it.
